Ufa Eye Research Institute
One of Russia’s prominent specialist eye institutes, with a history dating back to the second half of the nineteenth century. It is a state institution affiliated with Bashkir State Medical University.
Led by Professor Mukharram Bikbov since 2006, the institute combines clinical care with scientific research. It also develops its own device and solution for corneal cross-linking.
The institute collaborates with scientific institutions in Germany, Austria, Japan and India, and hosts the annual international East–West ophthalmology conference.
